about

Decomposure is caleb mueller, and he's been dicing up field recordings into clattering leftfield electronic pop for well over a decade now. For his latest album, Grow Together, he drove for 8 days across Western Canada to visit the places he grew up in, making up songs, steering-wheel drumming, and generally making a fool of himself along the way. When he got home, he spent a few years meticulously piecing together dozens upon dozens of microsongs using only those original recordings (except for 'Let's Go Back to the TV Screen', which his daughter made up in the bath a year later), then stitched them into 2 sprawling and jittery noise-pop collages.

Decomposure has collaborated with Sole on a multitude of tracks since 2013, including Sole & DJ Pain 1's smash hit "Capitalism Is Tearing Us Apart".

Press:

"[a] Sugary blend of electronic-pop that channels a little bit of The Postal Service, but in no way mimics them, or anyone we've heard recently. Decomposure is definitely a delight, and no doubt will be making its-slash-his mark on the scene soon." - Urb Next 1000

"Once the jaw-dropping genius of Mueller's hi-tech lo-fi approach sinks in, you wonder why all music doesn't sound this brilliant?" - Chart Attack

"This is not just music; this is a total experience. Everything works together and I cannot help but admire the Herculean effort put forth to bring this package into existence." - Rap Reviews
